PISAS'S CABINET UNDER PRESSURE?

     

ARE THERE PROBLEMS WITHIN THE MFK POLITICAL PARTY?

Willemstad, Curacao. March 22nd,2022. It was announced, that during the weekend some members of the MFK (Movementu Futuro Korsou) submitted a claim against Dr. Eduard Braam (former member of the political party PAR, then Korsou di nos Tur (KdNT), and now member of MFK), because of some things he had said in the past.

 

DR. BRAAM SITUATION

The MFK party, which is the leading party within the Gilmar Pisas (prime minister) cabinet, had a general meeting, to address the political party's members concerns regarding Dr. Braam, but did not divulged much detail on the subject.

According to Dr. Braam, the party leadership is behind him. It was speculated that among the public, that Dr. Braam may have been considering on withdrawing his support for the Pisas cabinet if the party does not support him.

The intentions of the MFK party, was to have Dr. Eduard Braam as a minister, however; he withdrew his candidacy for the ministerial post of Justice. It was then understood that the reason was the verdict from 2000, with which Dr. Braam allegedly was sentenced to cassation for fornication with a 16-year-old girl. But he was not punished for this. But since it was announced that Dr. Braam was the one to become minister, the verdict has resurfaced and caused unrest. Dr. Braam has appeared to have declared, that he will be seeking to clean his name.
