During an interview, Curacao Prime Minister: Mr. Gilmar "Pik" Pisas, declared that by June of this year, he will give in the Curacao oil refinery (Refineria Isla) keys to start operation again. According to previous reports, the refinery has been shut down since 2018, where the previous government was unable to find a new operator after the contract with PDVSA (Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. is the Venezuelan state-owned oil and natural gas company) was over and the relationship between the island and Venezuela deteriorated.
