Therefore, without further ado, let’s get into it!
After November 3rd,
2020, many people have expressed to me that they have more
questions now than before that were left unanswered. Principally, One of those questions
is: Who Really Won The 2020 USA Presidential
Election on November 3rd?
Ok! Well,
before we answer that question, we first must explain how the US Presidential Election actually
occurs. This may surprise many of you, but in a nutshell:
In general, every US Citizen of
one of the 50 states in the union, aged 18 years old or older and have not lost
their rights to vote is classified as an eligible voter. There are some
technicalities on campaigning and voter registration but all in all, those are
the parameters on eligibility of voting for the US Presidency.
In each of the 50 states, every eligible voter that
had casted their vote in the Presidential Election,
had actually voted for the state electorates
directly, and for the next US President indirectly.
Who is and What is an electorate or
Electorate College?
So now the question is Who is
and What is an Electorate. Elector and Electorate College?
"The Founders" thought that the use of electors would give The United States of America a representative president, while avoiding a corruptible national election.
The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787 report that; "...The members of the General Convention...did indulge the hope [that] by apportioning, limiting, and confining the Electors within their respective States, and by the guarded manner of giving and transmitting the ballots of the Electors to the Seat of Government, that intrigue, combination, and corruption, would be effectually shut out, and a free and pure election of the president of the United States made perpetual."
To start, let us define a few terms:
- Electorate - the body of persons entitled to vote in an election.
- Electors - A person who is certified to represent their state's vote in the Electoral.
- Electoral College - a body of electors chosen or appointed by a larger group representing the states of the US, who formally cast votes for the election of the president.
A
group of electors is referred to as The Electorate College.
Firstly,
each state has a number of selected
representatives per political party, referred to as Electors.
Secondly; the selected electors are
entrusted with the vote integrity & security of the state for The Apparatus
of Voting for The US Presidency, and very important, previously; each
elector; as is tradition; would have promised to vote in alignment with
state results for the state choice for President, in
an all or nothing dogma of electorate winning a state
The winning
electors is based on the popular vote of that state.
Each Political party: or person, that has qualified to participate in the US Presidential elections has their groups of electors per state.

Now back to matters. I tried to make this as simple as possible.
So,
if we look at this in terms and
perspective of percentages,
which is much easier to cumulatively understand.
Then, if
100% is equivalent to the total sum of the Electoral colleges,
which is 538 Electoral votes. Hence; the US
Presidential candidate that officially
receives 50% plus 1 of the electoral votes, equivalent to 270
electoral votes; is officially declared the winner of The US
Presidential race and The next President
of The United States of America, regardless; if the other candidates conceded
or not!
The Electoral Colleges is an
added benefit to secure an equal and fair representation and in voting
restoring the value in all states caring a near equal value. The more populous
a state, the greater is the electoral college value.
Which States Vote For The Presidency
and How Many Electorates Per State Are There?
Very Important question to
understanding all of this is:
There are fifty (50) states and
Washington D.C. that votes for the US President. In 1959, The last two states
to join the Union were Alaska (49th) and Hawaii (50th).
Washington D.C. is a federal
district under the authority of Congress. Local government is run by a mayor
and 13-member city council. Washington DC is represented in Congress by an
elected, nonvoting Delegate to the House of Representatives and in 1961 The
residents of Washington D.C. were then able to vote in Presidential elections
Puerto Rico is a
commonwealth associated with the U.S. Its indigenous inhabitants are U.S.
citizens. Puerto Ricans are unable to vote in U.S. Presidential elections, but
they do elect a nonvoting resident commissioner to the U.S. House of
Representatives.
Dependent areas: American Samoa,
Baker Island, Guam, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Kingman
Reef, Midway Islands, Navassa Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palmyra Atoll,
Puerto Rico, The U.S. Virgin Islands and Wake Island, are all US Dependent
Areas!
Note: from 18 July 1947
until the 1st of October 1994, the U.S. administered the Trust Territory of the
Pacific Islands, but recently entered into a new political relationship with
all four political units:
- (1.) The Northern Mariana Islands is a commonwealth in political union with the U.S. (effective since the 3rd of November 1986),
- (2.) Palau concluded a Compact of Free Association with the U.S. (effective since the 1st of October 1994),
- (3.) The Federated States of Micronesia signed a Compact of Free Association with the U.S. (effective since the 3rd of November 1986); and finally
- (4.) the Republic of the Marshall Islands signed a Compact of Free Association with the US (effective since the 21st of October 1986).
Table 1-0 Percentage of Electoral Votes Categorized by State Prepared by Josefina Josepha |
When all fifty (50) States and
Washington D.C. are Categorized into 3 Electoral Percentage Roots of States,
The ratio approaches a 1:2:3 simple structured of (c:a:b):
- (a.) Are those 16 states with less than 1% contribution of The Electoral Votes per Total Votes of the 538 electoral votes,
- (b.) Are those 26 states with a minimum 1% but less than 3% contribution of The Electoral Votes per Total Votes of the 538 electoral votes, and
- (c.) Are those 9 states with 3% or greater in contribution of The Electoral Votes per Total Votes of the 538 electoral votes

When Do We Know
Who Becomes The President of The USA?
Approximately 1 month
after Election Day (The first Tuesday in November in a US Presidential Election
year), the electorates officially congress to cast their votes for The US
Presidency.
After the electorates cast
their votes for the president and all the electorates votes tallied.
The election must then be certified. Then
after certification, a winning Presidential candidate would be
declared; and the next President is Named. Approximately 1 month thereafter
the newly elected president is sworn into office
in January.
Who Won The US Presidency On November 3rd,
2020?
For now, it is still uncertain;
as we are venturing into somewhat uncharted territory, but the US nation's
forefathers had foresight prepared a pathway of resolution giving the present
dilemma of the 2020 US Presidential election scenario.
So,
no one officially has won yet; between Joe Biden and Donald Trump,
also neither Donald Trump either Joe Biden has lost, because:
- (1.) The process is far from over still.
- (2.) Additionally, neither presidential candidate for The Democratic Party nor The Republican Party has conceded one to the other.
- (3.) Also, and very importantly; is simply put; The Electorates have not voted officially for the US President as of yet, and lastly
- (4.) The election certification has not occurred!
Well basically the primary
ones, who are "rushing" to claim a US
Presidential winner, it seems;
is the USA Mass Media companies and Networks, and they
are doing this;
in favor of the Democratic Presidential candidate;
Joe Biden!
