Curacao's previous Minister of Finance (Mr. Kenneth Gijsbertha, political party MAN) daughter, Mrs. Vanessa Gijsbertha, a former chief of staff at the Ministry of Finance, has filed a lawsuit against the current Minister of Finance, Mr. Javier Silvania. WHAT EXACTLY IS THE ISSUE? Mr. Silvania is dissatisfied with the way the Tax Authorities' ICT system is working. He has argued multiple times in the media, as well as on his own Facebook page, that Vanessa Gijsbertha would have had a problematic role in outsourcing the project to her former employer Bearing Point. Minister of Finance: Mr. Javier Silvania (political party MFK) will be appearing in court on Thursday, February 3rd 2022, to defend himself against charges of defamation and slander. The daughter of Curacao's former Minister of Finance (Mr. Kenneth Gijsbertha, (political party MAN)), Ms. Vanessa Gijsbertha, whom was the former Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Finance, has filed a lawsuit against the current Minister of Finance, Mr. Javier Silvania.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE ISSUE?
Mr. Silvania has expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the Tax Authorities; ICT system; was and is currently working. The Minister of Finance has stated his position on multiple occasions in the media, as well as, on his own Facebook page, that Vanessa Gijsbertha would have had a problematic role in outsourcing the project to her former employer Bearing Point.
