Willemstad; Curacao. Prime Minister of Curacao; Eugene Rhuggenaath's new tax on the citizens and people of Curacao may have just plummet the country into a state of more than just civil unrest, but also seal the country's economic fate and diagnosis as "Chronic Idopathic Economic Depression, (CIED)! The people of Curacao, for the most part are like tea-kettles on a hot stove, or like a cat on a hot tin roof!
Early in March, Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath, the leader of the Political Party; PAR, "Party for the Restructured Antilles", the best that the political party had to offer for economic resuscitation, proposed for a 50% increase on Curacao's sales tax in order to raise revenue to cover the drought of NAf. 127,000,000.
IS IT IGNORANCE, INCOMPETENCE OR ARROGANCE TO TRY AND MAKE THE COUNTRY SUFFER.
Eugene Rhuggenaath according to his academic portfolio has a graduate degree in business from Netherlands and undergraduate in finance and architecture from University of Miami.
"That's a strange combination", some UM students commented when asked about such a double major?
The 127 million Guilder question that is circulating Curacao scene is that may be PM Rhuggenaath was forced to do such a thing by Netherlands.
Still many curasalenos are stifled and some outspoken locals concertedly commented, "why would PM do such a dumb thing?
Another outspoken Curasaleno stated, "Maybe the PM don't know the economic implications and reactions!
Most of the crowd unanimously chanted: Eugene Rhuggenaath and PAR, Suzy Camelia-Romer and PIN and Hensley Koeiman and MAN, these political parties will never get my vote again!
Unanimously the group stated that, no matter how much these political parties come to their homes and stage their political parties, they will go to their parties, they will go and eat their food and drink their beverages, watch their commercials; of all the big deals they are doing or will be doing to increase the economy and make curacao better, they will wear their T-Shirts as they give them out for free.
However; the group clearly stated that when they go into the polling station, they will never vote for any party that has Eugene Rhuggenaath, Suzy Camelia-Romer or Hensley Koeiman as a part of the political machinery. Neither will they ever vote for the political party PAR, PIN nor MAN, because the political genetics is to inherently dominant to not always do the same thing that got the country into the problems that it is in now, a "momenta economic depression".
Many Curasaleno expressed that, "Bad managers need to pay back the company". They also expressed that; "The news media, for the most part are not doing their job and in many cases are in collusion with these political parties, or supporters of these political parties and it is the political parties that make up the government".
One Salinja resident said;"The rich and elite can break the law but they don't always go to jail and that is unfair and needs to change, but Eugene Rhuggenaath won't ever be my prime minister now or ever again, he is acting just like the slave masters with a whip in his hand!
