Willemstad, Curacao. Three officers involved in the controversial drug control at the Marnix school will appear in court on Thursday, the case will be heard pro forma.
OFFICERS INVOLVED
These officers allegedly visited Marnix College and ordered 25 students to undress (at the school) for a full exam without due process and without the authorization of parents or guardians. During investigations, the Curacao National Investigation Services (Landsrecherche) established that there was no legal basis for the inspection.
According to publications, three (3) other police officers who were also present at the school are not being prosecuted and returned to work last week after being placed on hold in September last year. There is one more officer, who is still being disciplined because he was present during the (illegal) control, but did not investigate, nor did he participate in the search investigation of the students (bodies).
