THE FIVE (5) BEST BEACHES IN CURACAO TO EXPLORE DURING A CURASALENO VACATION
1.) MAMBO BEACH (MBO)
Mambo Beach, located on Mambo Beach Boulevard, is without a doubt one of Curacao's most engaging and gorgeous beaches. MBO is Curacao's most well-known beach, and it's well worth the money. On weekdays, the beach is clean and not too busy. Mambo Beach is also a great place to swim, shop, eat, and experience light water activities! If you don't experience this MBO on Curacao, then you've missed out on the heart of the island experience. Mambo Beach is 8 days of the week the place to be!
2.) CAS ABAO BEACH(CAB)
Cas Abao Beach (CAB) is about 20 miles northwest of Willemstad, near the town of Fontein. The beach is directly accessible by car. This beach is a beautiful white-sandy and has a tremendous hue of turquoise-blue surrounding waters. CAB has plenty of lounge chairs available and you can easily rest under some trees about halfway back from the water. The beach has areas for cruise as well, so if you are lucky, you could sit back and admire the beautiful cruises to and fro the beach. At the restaurant you can enjoy some of the most delicious food in the region. Enjoy your fun-full swim!
3.) PLAYA KENEPA (KNP)
Kenepa Grandi, also known as "Grote Knip," beach, is located within one of the bays on Curacao's western coast. The water is a lovely blue-crystal-clear color, and the temperature is just right for you and your family to unwind. The beach is well-kept and tidy and you can also order food and drinks if you wish to try the local Curasaleno cuisine. In case there may not be sufficient, so bring your towel ready to lay down and enjoy a lovely sunbathing for some extra Vitamin D! Kenepa Grandi Beach is unquestionably ideal for a fun and colorful snorkeling excursion!
4.) PLAYA PORTOMARI (PPM)
PortoMari Beach is near the town of St. Willibrordus, 20 miles northwest of Willemstad, and children 12 and under can have fun in the sun all day long tirelessly. Playa PortoMari is a beach where you can enjoy good snorkeling, and see many fish and live coral reefs. The best time to get here is around 8:00 am to catch a good spot. You will see and find all kinds and sizes of fish and the price for beach loungers is very reasonable and well worth it.
5.) PLAYA LAGUN (LGN)
Playa Lagun is located near the district of Lagún, located in a small bay. It is recommend to get there early in the morning for a good spot. The snorkel experience is rated a 4 and 3/4 star. The beach is abundantly loaded with reef and tropical fishes and an extensive network of coral reef. The beach is famously popular among divers, snorkelers, fishermen and locals. When you visit Curacao, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the fresh blue water at Playa Lagun, and you will not regret it!
