Willemstad, Curacao. A new interest group has been formed in the online gaming industry. The Curacao Online Gaming Association (COGA) aspires to represent the interests of all those involved in the industry.

CURACAO ONLINE GAMING ASSOCIATION

The Dutch Caribbean Island of Curacao, was one of the first countries globally, to legalize internet/online gambling, back in 1996. After legalizing internet gambling, Curacao has established itself as a leading jurisdiction for remote gambling.

The interest group aspires to represent a large number (wide portion) of the industry and also to continue to conduct discussions with the Curacao Gaming Control Board (CGCB) and the Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA).

COGA will serve as the local government's permanent dialogue/mediator partner. Members of the interest group can include providers of 'online games' of chance and companies participating. Companies that provide services, such as trust offices, can join as associate members.
