TIME IS PASSING BY AND NO DEAL
Willemstad, Curacao.The hours are passing fast, the Lawmakers have until 11:59 p.m. Friday to get the agreement through both houses of Congress and signed by US President Donald Trump before several Cabinet-level departments shut down and thousands of federal workers become what people call “hostage” in the situation. This would be the second partial government shutdown this year.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP NOT SUPPORTING WALL DEAL?
In an interview, President Donald Trump left the media in the White House in a non-binary mode, saying “Well, we haven’t gotten it yet”, and; “We’ll be getting it and we’ll be looking for land mines because you could have that.”
MORE FUNDING WANTED BY CONSERVATIVE LAWMAKERS
It was recently reported that the House Freedom Caucus conservative lawmakers find it difficult to agree on a deal since they want more funding for the wall. It appears that they want to stretch the deadline to increase the possibility of a deal for one week more.
The House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, RNC stated; “The conference report is projected to be thousands of pages long and was negotiated behind closed doors”. Chairman Meadows; wants the members to have enough time to read it well before voting on it, so that they can decide whether or not a better deal can be negotiated.
DONALD TRUMP NOT HAPPY WITH BORDER DEAL PROPOSAL
One of President Trump’s requirement to reach a deal is for a budget of $5.7 billion for the border wall. On Monday; the congressional negotiators; announced that they'd reached an agreement but in principle, for border security funding that is including more than $1.3 billion for physical barriers along the USA-Mexico border. President Trump had expressed his disagreement on the budget and said he would keep all options on the table even the possibility of declaring a national emergency!
