Willemstad, Curacao. April 20th, 2022. The passengers of the TUI (Touristik Union International/Tourism Union International), flight that made a precautionary landing in Curacao on Sunday night, will leave the island this afternoon. According to TUI, the repair of the Airplane window that cracked in the cabin was taking longer than expected.
TUI WINDSHIELD CRACKED
The Boeing 787 took off from the Dutch island of Bonaire on Sunday night, after which a loud rumble was heard and the pilot decided to start the landing in Curacao, because a crack had formed in the plane's windshield. The three hundred (300) passengers had to disembark at the Curacao's Hato International Airport.
TUI DESTINATION
The passengers were supposed to fly to Netherlands, Amsterdam yesterday at 20:45 pm. According to the travel agency, "it is not yet clear how long the window repair will take." TUI has chartered another plane (Boeing 787 Dreamliner of the Italian airline Neos) to give passengers certainty about when they will fly back to the Netherlands.
