Willemstad, Curacao. March 21st, 2022. The Dutch Caribbean island of Sint Maarten has revoked its permission to fly Russian big yachts by helicopter. These Luviair Limited helicopters are no longer permitted to take off and land on Russian super yachts in Sint Maarten's territorial waters.
RUSSIA AND UKRAINE WAR
Due to war between Russia and Ukraine, the new EU (European Union) sanctions must be implemented as soon as possible, according to Sint Maarten's ministerial rule.
Mr. Roger Lawrence, Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation, and Telecommunications, has ordered the revocation of the pilot's license. The minister granted the corporation permission to take off and land on the Russian super yachts Eclipse, Garcon, and Solaris while they are in the Sint Maarten area last year (in October 2021).
