During the weekend, there was a big crowd at the famous local annual beach celebration known as "Fuikdag" (Fuikbaai beach), this happened despite the government's announcement on COVID measures. After boat owners and a large crowed gathered at the Fuikbaai beach to party with loud music, the police issued a warning. Images are mow circulating on social media of an overcrowded Fuikbaai where people were partying close to each other.   BOAT OWNERS WARNING The Director of the Curacao "Public Order Maintinace, Law and Security" Mr. Gerold Daantje made many declarations regarding the incident of the agglomeration at the Fuik beach in the weekend. Among other things Mr. Gerold Daantje declared; “We are analyzing the images and the Coast Guard (in Dutch; Kustwacht), the people that were on the beach made note of the numbers of the boats and we will approach the owners, operators and captains. They will get an official letter from the government where they will get a warning (atvertensia), because they know very well that the rules of COVID are still applicable. They are rules of agglomerations, they are still in vigor.” TRANSLATION: [Felicity: 20% - Fidelity: 80% ].     A WARNING CAN HELP STOP ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR? When questioned on the warning, which will not do anything to the people that violated the COVID rules, Mr. Gerold Daantje declared: “You need to give someone space for the wrong they did, for the person to go straight again.
