Willemstad, Curacao. January 14th, 2022. he Curacao Epidemiology Department (CED) says that 1065 of the 3650 people tested for the COVID-19 virus yesterday (January 13th, 2022) were positive. Currently, 243 patients have been released from isolation, bringing the total number of active infections to 10.801.

 

COVID IMPACT AT THE HOSPITAL

There were 49 imported cases, according to the epidemiology department. With 40 COVID-related patients hospitalized, 15 of whom are in the ICU, the situation at the Curacao Medical Center (CMC) is severe. There have been 199 COVID-related deaths in the country since the outbreak began.
