GOODYEAR TIRES GOING FLAT?

Willemstad, Curacao. The USA 45th President: Donald Trump called for a ban on The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company! The question may remain what does this mean for Curacao and its commercial sector. Presently; there are Tire Service Del Caribe, Hot Wheels Tire Center and Western Tires that stand out along with associated centers such as La Curacao. Well the Curacao Economy receive another stab in the side as a result of US Democratic extremist attacking President Trump and all those that voted for him?
WHY PRESIDENT TRUMP WOULD CALL FOR SUCH?...
In an apparent knee jerk tweet; President Donald Trump wrote the following:
"Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES - They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!)."

However; in a return volley, Goodyear responded with a release:
"A MESSAGE FROM GOODYEAR TO OUR CUSTOMERS, PARTNERS AND ASSOCIATES
AKRON, Ohio, August 19, 2020 – A Message from Goodyear to Our Customers, Partners and Associates:
Yesterday, Goodyear became the focus of a conversation that created some misconceptions about our policies and our company. For those not aware, a widely circulated image sparked a strong reaction, and we wanted to take the opportunity to provide some important context to the visual and our policies.
First, the visual in question was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate, nor was it part of a diversity training class. To be clear on our longstanding corporate policy, Goodyear has zero tolerance for any forms of harassment or discrimination. To enable a work environment free of those, we ask that associates refrain from workplace expressions in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party, as well as similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of racial justice and equity issues.
Second, we appreciate the diverse viewpoints of all of our more than 60,000 associates, which are at the heart of many of the policies we establish. Fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace is important to establish teamwork and build culture, which is another reason we ask associates not to engage in political campaigning of any kind in the workplace – for any candidate, party or political organization.
Third and finally, Goodyear has always wholeheartedly supported both equality and law enforcement and will continue to do so. These are not mutually exclusive. We have heard from some of you that believe Goodyear is anti-police after reacting to the visual. Nothing could be further from the truth, and we have the upmost appreciation for the vital work police do on behalf of our shared communities. This can’t be said strongly enough."
JJosephaNews reached out to and contacted Goodyear earlier and some time later we noted they posted a tweet:

when randomly analyzed by a small sample of Curasalenos; an overwhelming amount; ninety percent; (90%), sounded the alarm that Goodyear's response seemed lobe-sided in favor of the minority or maybe the CEO; (Richard Kramer) and felt it was unfair and lack true involvement and participation of its workers.
Additionally; about sixty-six percent; (67%) believed that the US President Trump had a Knee Jerk reaction with Goodyear and reacted prematurely as a leader.
Furthermore; only ten percent; (10%) believed that Juan Guaido is the real leader of Venezuela and that he can: (a) bring back Goodyear to Venezuela and (b) provide Curacao with cheaper oil prices.
An outspoken participant from Banda Abou and Goodyear product user stated; "It sounds as like even in the USA; business owners; try to intimidate their workers/employees, to not exercise their rights with drafted company policies; either new or now reinforced, but this limits the employees freedom of expression and political believes. Imagine something as simple as wearing a Maga Hat, what harm can that do, unless you associate a harm to it! Then; what about wearing a Joe Biden T-Shirt or buying a "Jamaican Roti" in a bag supporting Kamala Harris; as Vice-President, or even imagine a T-shirt with acclaimed "marijuana smoking and Kamala Harris, after all Jamaicans do have a tendency to smoke marijuana; and I should know because she is 50% Jamaican just like my beautiful wife!"
A Curacao business owner commented; "I agree with Goodyear; I want my employees and workers to focus on their job and what they have to do when they are on my clock and I am paying them by the hour on the hour. So any other agenda or political belief, don't have any place in my business"!
Furthermore, the Curacao business owner emphatically ended his statement with; " I do read JJosephaNews and yesterday in an article it stated; "...here there is No Monkey Business," and so I am sure that the philosophy is the same at JJosephaNews as well, and since "JJosephaNews" believes in freedom of speech; so there is my freedom of speech: "No other agenda in my business!"
