THE DUTCH TAKEOVER ON ST EUSTATIUS, IS CURACAO NEXT?
By: JJosepha News
Willemstad, Curacao. On Monday February 5th 2018, Netherlands State Secretary; Raymond Knops, of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations, announced that; Netherlands will take over the governing of Sint Eustatius.
Like Curacao, Sint Eustatius is an island that forms part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Since October 10th 2010, Curacao is an autonomous country in the Kingdom of The Netherlands.THE COMMITTEE WITH THE KEY
The Netherlands made the decision to take over the governing of Sint Eustatius based on a report from a committee.
In 2017 The committee; "Wise Men" (‘the Committee’) were chosen by the Dutch Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations request, to investigate the state of the island and concluded that there is a "gross neglect of duties" on Sint Eustatius. The Committee, consisted of:
- 1) Council of State member; Jan Franssen and,
- 2) Former Governor of Aruba; Fredis Refunjol
Talks were scheduled with the Committee for Financial Supervision (CFT), with representatives of the various Ministries and others that made the puzzle complete.
The Wise Men stated, "the local Government did not wanted to meet with us". The Wise Men said; they had tried several different routes to try to speak with the Commissioners or the ruling parties, but they were ultimately rebuked.
DISAGREEMENTS OF STATIA AND NETHERLANDS
Statia’s Government stated they were not going to speak with the Wise Men based on the fact that they had an agreement with Minister Plasterk that "the Committee" aka "The Wise Men", would consist of:
- Two (2) persons to be appointed by the Dutch Government, and;
- Two (2) persons to be appointed by the Statia's Government.
However, Minister Plasterk did not agree with the two (2) proposed Statia candidates.
Apparently, one (1) person; who preferred to remain anonymous; who met with the Wise Men, said "I was very upset because their meeting had not been in private (confidential), as was promised that it would be". He further stated; “To my surprise, I also saw two women at the table. Their role was not introduced, their function not explained. Quite wrong! Especially as one of them is the woman the Netherlands wants to force upon us as The new Governor (Jenny Thunnissen)”!
From research the woman the Netherlands wants to force upon them is the same woman in question; known as; Jenny Thunnissen. At the time; Mrs. Thunnissen was a member of Acting Island Governor Julian Woodley’s support staff, and She was added to Governor Woodley's staff by the Dutch Government.
Jenny Thunnissen, is a former employee of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment.
The presence of the Dutch Government manager; Thunnissen, was unclear and brought rumors and speculation surrounding the presence of various Dutch government managers, some days after a high level visit by Secretary General; Richard van Zwol of The Dutch Ministry for Interior Affairs and Kingdom Relations (BZK) (Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties).
FORMER PLP-LEADER'S LETTER
According to an undated letter from the former PLP-leader; Clyde van Putten to; Van Zwol, his opinion was that the; so called assistance with "capacity building" for the island as was discussed with Holland (Netherlands), should not be misused to station certain Dutch civil servants on the island without prior consultation with local government.
Van Putten stated in his letter that during the meeting with Van Zwol and his team, all representatives of the island government indicated to be open to receiving said support under certain conditions.
Clyde Van Putten stated; "You indicated that you would report your findings back to your minister, including the proposal made by the Executive Council in its letter to him of February 14th, 2017, and that the island government would be informed of the next steps the minister intends to take".
Van Putten noted that, during the meetings, it was made unequivocally clear by all representatives of the local government that the involvement of Miss Jenny Thunnissen is unacceptable.
Van Putten stated in his letter; "This was communicated to your minister in writing after the video-conference with the Kingdom Representative on January 7th, 2017. We don’t believe that appointing Miss Thunnissen to any position aimed at supporting the local government can pass the test of good governance and good intentions on your part".
Van Putten attached copies of his mails between Employees at BZK and Island Secretary; Koert Kerkhoff, requesting meetings with BZK, on behalf of Mrs. Thunnissen; with various representatives of local government.
In spite of repeated and insistent questions by Kerkhoff to BZK, no (clear) answer were given as to the purpose and the goal of the meetings, hence increasing the level of suspicion that; Netherlands was not communicating their real and truthful intentions.
The island Government protested the fact that; The Hague's inclination to appoint public service managers, who had run into trouble in their own home country, and they were holding important offices and post throughout the island's government rule.
WORDS MATTER CLYDE, WORDS MATTER!
It was reported on the 13th of October of 2017, that Clyde van Putten's speech in Curacao; (9th of October 2017) where it implies that "they would kill and burn the Netherlands soldiers if found on the island of St. Eustatius".
After the speech "words" reached the Dutch Government's ears; The Minister of Kingdom Relations; Ronald Plasterk who informed the media that the Dutch government filed a complaint against the politician, Clyde Van Putten.
Clyde van Putten expressed his fight for more autonomy of Saint Eustatius (Sint Statia); and against what he called "Dutch Re-Colonialism" by the Netherlands for some time over the Caribbean.
In his speech; in Curacao; during a congress of The organisation Korsou Fuerte i Outonomo (KFO), he claimed, he said to a Dutch minister, "when the Dutch soldiers come to his island, the minister must be prepared for the consequences". He further stated, "because if you send the soldiers, we will kill them and we will burn them in the streets of Sint Eustatius".
THE VAN PUTTEN "PLEASE DON'T PROSECUTE ME AND THROW ME IN JAIL" APOLOGY
On October 17th 2017 it was reported that Van Putten made a public apology regarding his statement made on October 9th.
Van Putten said; "It was in no way my intention to incite or to make any threats with regard to killing any Dutch military personnel or any Dutch individuals for that matter."
The former PLP Leader also stated; "I am not too big, if I have erred and made a mistake, to come and apologize for this. I believe the statements that were made were uncalled for. I believe it was ir-reprehensible. I believe that it is a statement that I must distance myself from at this point in time, because it indeed is not something that we as a country and we as a people tolerate."
He continued; "Therefore, I come to you the people of St. Eustatius to say to you today, that I deeply regret the statement made with regard to killing and burning of the military, because this was no way my intention and for that I humble apologize."
Van Putten continued; "During that presentation, the words ‘kill and burn’ came forward, to incite any form of violence or hatred as is being insinuated."
Van Putten further said that "people with; "malicious and political intent” had taken parts of his video-taped speech and used the "kill and burn" statements "for their own political agenda". There has been wide discussion and condemnation from home and abroad and certainly this did not contribute in any way toward the agenda we; (the Island Government); have set in moving forward".
DID CLYDE VAN PUTTEN PROVOKE THE FALL OF THE ISLAND GOVERNMENT OF ST. STATIA?
Van Putten continued; "I wanted to state here this morning that despite all that was said and done over these past several days, that commitment and that resolute and principle decision, taken in regard to the constitutional future, will continue unabated."
CLYDE VAN PUTTEN FIGURATIVELY SCHIMMERS WITH HIS "PROVERBIAL TAIL BETWEEN HIS LEGS"...
Van Putten commented in respect to the Dutch Government official complaint, "I will "take full responsibility" for my actions. Whenever that case is called (to go to court) I will appear and will address the issue at hand. I am fully prepared to accept it as a citizen and also as a representative of the people of St. Eustatius."
Van Putten assured that he deeply regretted the statement, and stressed; "I remain committed to the cause of fighting for more autonomy, to giving the people of St. Eustatius the freedom, the deliberation and respect that they deserve as a free people".

The successor of the declarant was informed of this decision.
Prosecution will only take place in cases where a threat is such that the threatened person should seriously take into account that the threat would be carried out, or; when raging words actually caused riot with major social damage. This was not the case in this case.
Prosecution will unjustly draw attention to the statement that is now out of date, this given the qualifications put by Van Putten himself and the apologies he made. Van Putten's defaulting behavior has been socially received in an appropriate manner and has thus been put in perspective. The Public Prosecutor's Office deplores the statements made by Van Putten. A criminal prosecution has however no added value.
NETHERLANDS ROLE ON THE ISLAND CALLED; MISMANAGEMENT
The committee advised that investments be accelerated wherever possible so that these delays can be caught up. The government will follow this advice, the Ministry said.

SPECULATION ON THE RETAKING OVER OF THE FORMER NETHERLAND ANTILLES
Former Spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office (OM); Norman Serphos (was dismissed for lying in 2018); commented on Caribisch Netwerk website (2017) that the Prosecutor’s Office, did launched a preliminary investigation, to decide whether Clyde Van Putten would have been criminally charged.
VAN PUTTEN GETS OFF "SCHOTTE-FREE"...
On November 1st 2017 it was reported that the Public Prosecutor's Office (OM) BES, was NOT going to conduct criminal investigations in response to the statements by Clyde van Putten.
Apparently, according to a press release from The Public Prosecutor's Office;
This decision was taken by the Chief Prosecutor, Henry Hambeukers. not to prosecute Clyde van Putten.
The successor of the declarant was informed of this decision.
The policy of the Public Prosecutor's Office in political statements is that extreme reticence must be taken. Not only because of the state of the law but also the point of departure that what is said in the political arena must be done in the same arena.
The Public Prosecutor's Office has formulated this premise in an internal instruction incorporating the weighting factors for the assessment of a political report.
Prosecution will only take place in cases where a threat is such that the threatened person should seriously take into account that the threat would be carried out, or; when raging words actually caused riot with major social damage. This was not the case in this case.
The Public Prosecutor sees no reason to deviate from his policy in this case. In addition, it is important that the circumstances surrounding this statement give a different picture of the purpose of this statement than is shown in some media. Also; the way in which Van Putten has meanwhile removed this statement confirms that again. He now denies the statement and says that it was taken out of context.
If not in agreement with the decision of the OM, a complaint can be filed before the Court concerning Article 15 criminal proceedings (strafvordering).
NETHERLANDS ROLE ON THE ISLAND CALLED; MISMANAGEMENT
The committee (Wise Men); was critical on the Dutch government's role in the development of the situation on Sint Eustatius.
The Island appeared to have delays in projects to improve:
- Roads,
- Water supply,
- Housing,
- Underground pipelines,
- Waste processing, and;
- The seaport and airport.
The committee advised that investments be accelerated wherever possible so that these delays can be caught up. The government will follow this advice, the Ministry said.
WHY THE NETHERLANDS TOOK OVER
The committee (Wise Men); concluded that the current governing situation is characterized by:
- lawlessness and;
- financial mismanagement.
There were also signs of:
- Discrimination,
- Intimidation,
- Threats and insults,
- The pursuit of personal power at the expense of the inhabitants,
- Citizens and entrepreneurs experiencing legal inequality.
- There is NO Administration in order, and
- The island has been neglected; in a physical sense.
The following video: February 7th 2018; Questions about the report on the Government of St. Eustatius.
THE CRUCIFIXION
Knops said; "Since other measures have not brought the island council to repentance, there is only one thing left to do: governing intervention. It is the harshest measure, but now that everything else has failed, it is the only possibility that remains".
The Dutch State Secretary continued; "The people of Sint Eustatius deserve better.
Raymond Knops insisted that he would not guess how long the intervention would last but stated; "it will be as "short as possible and as long as needed".
MARCOLINO FRANCO (FROM POLITICAL PARTY PAIS), NOW GOVERNMENT COMMISSIONER OF ST EUSTATIA.
The government commissioner; Marcolino (Mike) Franco, (formerly of the defunct political party PAIS, that was lead by Alexander Rosario), was appointed to perform all duties on the island until the island council is able to perform their duties properly again.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations said; "that is the condition before the Island Council got the permission to held a new election for a new island council".
TOWN HALL MEETING
On Monday; February 7th 2018, Netherlands State Secretary; Raymond Knops, of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations, together with the newly appointed government commissioner; Marcolino (Mike) Franco, held a Town Hall Meeting to answer questions from the St. Eustatia community and present the Government Commissioner.

WHY CURACAO IS ON THE PATH TO BE CRUCIFIED AND POSSIBLY RECOLONIZED BY THE DUTCH AGAIN...
If Christ was crucified for being innocent by a deceitful oligarchic group of Jews that was campaigned apparently a group of northern european businessmen and husbandry owners; whom could be categorized as the common day Dutch or Swedish, therefore imagine Curacao breaking the following 10 demandments:
1.) High Unemployment; highest in the Caribbean and the world.
2.) High Poverty Level - Curacao in the top 1/3rd of the Caribbean.3.) Financial Mismanagement - Court Auditors, CFT revealed financial mismanagement and incongruencies,

SPECULATION ON THE RETAKING OVER OF THE FORMER NETHERLAND ANTILLES
First there was Sint. Maarten, then Sint. Eustatius, however since Bonaire is a special municipality like St. Eustatius and Saba, and the proportion of European-Dutch on Bonaire leads to a more favorable dutch dominance Bonaire has been relatively silent.
The real economic importance of the alleged dutch "re-colonization" strategy would target Curacao as the next important takeover for the final piece in checkmate.
By 2021 the oil prices are expected to triple and presently Curacao handles about 1/2 a trillion dollars (USD) in exports according to CIA reports ranked in the top 3 and top 10 in exports and imports respectively. Therefore, with the Dutch in charge of the high revenue money flow of Curacao's oil refining the excess would need to be stored and Sint Eustatius would provide the oil storage capability and capacities.
