CURACAO HEALTH CARE IN HANDS OF THE WRONG SET OF PEOPLE?

Willemstad, Curacao. In a question asked by the Netherlands Kingdom Relations Committee, the Kingdom Relations Undersecretary, Raymond Knops, apparently declared that Doctors who have been suspended in the Netherlands can still work in Curacao and the other Dutch islands without any legal or professional problems. 

Apparently, Raymond Knops stated that there are no agreements between Netherlands, Curacao and the other islands about sharing disciplinary decisions. 

FURTHER INVESTIGATION NEEDED

There is a case ongoing with an Advent Hospital internist and Avalon University Professor Dr. Nagy Bakir. Dr. Bakir has a disciplinary sentence for sexual abuse of patients in the Netherlands and despite the disciplinary sentence for sexual abuse of patients he was able to get started in Curacao and is now accused of the same by patients and colleges.

LOCAL OPINION

Rushentley, a Curacao resident in Punda stated that; the other medical schools should also be investigated for abuse on these foreign students, investigate the sexual abuse, physical abuse, fraud and grade intimidation to protect the students. 

UNNAMED RESIDENT OPINION

An unnamed resident from Santa Rosa Curacao requested that; “more needs to be done to protect the foreign students studying at these medical universities, because, they are intimidated by the Universities or their Visas are rejected and they are Deported from the country if they open up their mouth and say anything about it.” 
The unnamed resident said that; “she fears that these things are far more common than exposed by the media.” 
The unnamed resident from Santa Rosa continued; “What is Suzy Romer doing  about this situation, as well as the minister of justice or will they turn their head and turn a blind eye to what these students are maybe suffering?” 
The unnamed resident continued; “Frankly as a student you see Minister Suzy Romer attending Avalon Medical School and JFK Medical Schools ceremony, Minister Hensley Koeiman attending SMU Medical University ceremony, Minister Walle attending CMU Medical University ceremony, so u know from the students perspective it seems that them and their party are more interested in getting money from these schools than the student that are paying the university these monies.” 
“So, who protect the students? The law? How many students have died or have been hurt or damaged attending these Medical Schools? The numbers will surprise many people.” 
“Or should the students just pic up and leave it like that to avoid these problems?” 
“Both male and female students are affected in these things. People think that sexual abuse only happen to females, no, no no!”
