CURACAO’S 2019 PARLIAMENTARY BUDGET DEBATE

Willemstad, Curacao, On March 11th, SVC-8 had a parliamentary budget debate, to reduce the country's expenditure in an attempt to balance the national budget.

AMPARO DOS SANTOS PROPOSES A LIBERALISMO KLASIKO KOMUNIDAT DI KORSOU; (LKKK); MANIFESTO 2017-2022 PERSPECTIVE AS A WAY OUT OF NATIONAL ECONOMIC PERIL.

One of Curacao's member of parliament of the Staten van Curacao; SVC-8; appeared to have politically stolen a page out of the Manifesto and Platform; Vision 20/20; "For A Better Curacao"; from Curacao's youngest lead Political Party; LKKK; Liberalismo Klasiko Komunidat di Korsou's National Plan. The MP and Political leader of Korsou di Nos tur; (KdNT); Mr. Amparo Dos Santos, proposed one of LKKK's solution on how to reduce cost in the budget.

In the 2017 Curacao National Electoral process?, The youngest political candidate capitan and  leader in Curacao's history and the president of Liberalismo Klasiko Komunidat di Korsou; campaigned hard on a systematic strategic approach on how to safely arrive at a balanced budget, and outlining one of her systemic path to reduce Parliamentary Salaries and carve the excess "political & government managerial” “fat-Benefits” from the parliamentary budget diet.

The co-opposition political party; Korsou di Nos Tur; (KdNT), thought it was a good idea but the majority of the parliamentarians; it was reported did not appear to like the idea on reducing their salary not even by 50%. The confidence in Curacao’s parliament is presently maintained by the political triad of PAR-MAN-PIN.

KENNETH GIJSBERTHA PROPOSAL MAY BE UNETHICAL IF HE IS TRYING TO INTENTIONALLY MISLEAD FOR FINANCIAL GAIN AND SO WOULD BE THE ENTIRE CURACAO.

It was reported that the government has a plan that can result in 121 million guilders in savings. One of the plan is to claim an article from the Kingdom Act in connection with damage caused by extraordinary events, one example is a natural disaster. The Minister of Finance Mr.Kenneth Gijsbertha of the political party MAN, cited the economic consequences of Hurricane Irma; on the island of Sint Maarten as an example.

The government also believe that the situation in Venezuela also has such consequences on Curacao's economy.

CURACAO’S PARLIAMENTARY BUDGET STILL NOT BALANCED. SIMILAR PROBLEM AS ST. MAARTEN UNABLE TO BALANCE THEIR BUDGET.

The government was supposed to have the budget balanced by cutting 127 million guilders by the 6th of March, which did not happened and not 121 million by the 13th March 2019.

Tomorrow the Curacao Financial Supervision Council; (Cft); will tell the government if they agree with 6 million guilders non balanced budget.

DOES RHUGGENAATH HAVE A LEGITIMATE PLAN TO CURACAO RECOVERY?

In the budget planning debate, Curacao’s Prime Minister; Eugene Rhuggenaath, declared that 127 million on savings is unrealistic, and he stated that Curacao has to invest in the local economy and the help of the Netherlands is indispensable.

CURACAO’S GENERAL PUBLIC VOICING THEIR CONCERNS - THE OPINION CORNER!

The general public expressed their concerns, that after about 3 years under Eugene Rhuggenaath, first as Minister of Economy and now, almost 2 years as Prime Minister and most distinguished are:

1.) The country has irrevocably continued to declined and drown deeper in debt,

2.) Unemployment risen to heights above historic marks,

3.) Transparency and corruption seemingly have grown exponentially,

4.) the National debt to GDP ratio increasing, and the government;

5.) Bad investment and government decision by Suszi Romer and her ministry at that time to -

5a.) Insel Air receiving 33 million guilders and

5b.) The Ministry of Education had to close the door on one of their schools.

5c.)Curacao's Hospital Nobo expense at about 621 Million guilders with an initial 421 million guilders burrowed from the Dutch Government. No sought to ask what was the additional 200 million guilders for and break it down with accountability?

5d.) Increasing Minimum wage higher to apparently justify increasing parliamentarians salary and Parliamentary Budget. Where is the accountability and transparency?

6.) MP Cordoba talking about Police officers in positions due to favoritism,  

7.) Police officers are apparently involved in stealing drugs that were stolen from within police possession on police property,

8.) Curacao’s prosecution office, spokesman Mr. Norman Serphos, being investigated for behavior,

The Minister of Economic Affairs stepping down, because of criminal investigation into his activities whilst minister and a director at an insurance company, the possibility of the illegality of the 2017 Curacao's election and the political intimidation and discrimination; and alleged 2017 election fraud.

9.) Lawyers willfully and intentionally deceiving the courts and apparently getting away with taking advantage of the less fortunate in Curacao abusing dutch laws in Curacao,

10.) The repression, suppression, bias favoritism and oppression; especially of the non-PAR; non-MAN and non-PIN Afro-Dutch Caribbeans in Curacao; aka; the Afro-Curasalenos; otherwise referred to as the “True docile Zwarte Piet's” that are unable to remove the black face after the end of the celebration!

But, above all, PM Eugene Rhuggenaath; needs to come forth to the people and states we need to invest more in Curacao, sounds like he still reading from Liberalismo Klasiko’s manifesto but it seems like he just don’t know how to do it!

He need to present to the people of Curacao his plan and not a fairy book fantasy island plan of economic recovery, for 2 times now him and Benny Whitman seem like they try and fool us to get our votes with fool’s gold that we recovering and under them we recover.

The outspoken Salinja resident expressed, that Kenneth better not go up their presenting documentation and untruths because I will march on over to the OP office and write  letter to the UN, The Kingdom and tell them that the real Michael Cohen right here in Curacao as a minister of finance. How stupid he think Netherlands Parliament and Government is, if he think he can invent some natural disasters like “Earthquake Eugene” that destroyed Curacao’s economic health with a "PAR-70" Richter scale reading. You as a the youngest political leader should lead us and tell the people a true plan. TV direct 13, Germone de Lima and Jachmin Pinedo, it really looks like they had ulterior motives and did a "political hit job" on you, your campaign and Political Party, and made sure the people and voters didn’t hear what you and your campaign had to say, plainly they blacklisted you and then Charles DoRego from; Curacao's Election Commission; was giving Germone props, now print that just like I said it”.

The outspoken Curacao resident; further stated; “Rhuggenaath need to present a real plan to the people of this country of how we are going to get out of this debt that they keep on making otherwise they won’t be there for long and won’t ever come back except to get a permanent residence next door to Gerrit Schotte. All of this makes me wonder if Schotte is really guilty or was he set-up just to shut him up! Now you tell me where is the justice in Curacao? Tell me where is the justice?”
