“No less than 3 companies has delivered their definitive offer for the management and operation of our refinery in Emmastad and terminal in Bullenbaai, when they submitted their so-called ‘Binding Proposal’ for the Refinery of Curacao (RdK) (Refineria di Kòrsou).

The RdK team, in charge of the search and selection of a strategic partner for our oil facilities in accordance with the mandate of the Government of Curacao, are now continuing quickly with the work to evaluate the offers that had entered.  Directly after that the result of the assessment can be submitted to the Board of Commissioners and Shareholders.

The goal is to continue that, no later than by the half of this year to reached to an agreement with the company that will manage and operate the oil facilities of Curacao. At the end of last February, RdK took the decision to elongate the date to submit a final and appropriate proposal before the end of March 2022.

RdK did this at the request of some of the companies, which were doing their studies so that they could submit their proposal. During the last months there have been several delegations of the companies that are interested, which visited our refinery facilities, in order to have a more accurate view of the facilities.  This way they could have made a proposal that agree more with the refinery reality in Emmastad and the terminal in Bullenbaai. RdK will continue to inform the public according on how the process is going forward and in due time share the name of potential partner in the operation and management of our oil facilities.”

“Maar liefst 3 bedrijven hebben hun definitieve bod uitgebracht voor het beheer en de exploitatie van onze raffinaderij in Emmastad en terminal in Bullenbaai, toen zij hun zogenaamde 'Bindend voorstel' indienden bij de voor de Raffinaderij van Curaçao (RdK) (Refineria di Kòrsou ).

Het RdK-team, dat verantwoordelijk is voor het zoeken en selecteren van een strategische partner voor onze oliefaciliteiten in overeenstemming met het mandaat van de regering van Curaçao, gaat nu voortvarend verder met het evalueren van de ingediende aanbiedingen. Direct daarna kan het resultaat van de beoordeling worden voorgelegd aan de Raad van Commissarissen en Aandeelhouders.

Het doel is om door te gaan om uiterlijk in de helft van dit jaar overeenstemming te bereiken met het bedrijf dat de oliefaciliteiten van Curaçao gaat beheren en exploiteren. Eind februari vorig jaar nam RdK het besluit om de datum te verlengen om voor eind maart 2022 een definitief en passend voorstel in te dienen.

RdK deed dit op verzoek van een deel van de bedrijven, die hun studie aan het doen waren om hun voorstel in te dienen. De afgelopen maanden zijn er verschillende delegaties van de bedrijven die geïnteresseerd zijn geweest, die onze raffinaderijfaciliteiten hebben bezocht om een nauwkeuriger beeld van de faciliteiten te krijgen. Zo hadden ze een voorstel kunnen doen dat meer aansluit bij de raffinaderijrealiteit in Emmastad en de terminal in Bullenbaai. RdK zal het publiek blijven informeren over de voortgang van het proces en te zijner tijd de naam bekendmaken van een potentiële partner in de exploitatie en het beheer van onze oliefaciliteiten.”
