The sale took place on the Pindakaas site (property) of Marine Basis Parera (Naval Base). The vessels were awarded to the highest bidder. There was a lot of interest in the vessels; more than 300 people had registered. The auction yielded an amount of more than 200,000 guilders for the benefit of the government.
