December 10th 2020, A new fast food restaurant; named Bokata; with a style similar to Subways, opened its sandwich extravaganza as Sambil's newest and latest business eatery.
The fifty-three (53) year old Venezuelan director of Bokata; Gonzalo E. Balza Fossi, established and incorporated Bokata on August 26th 2020 issuing 30 shares with a nominal value of 100 Guilders, then approximately 100 days later; Bokata rang up its first sale.
A Curasaleno client, described Bokata as a sandwich heaven and said; "the workers may not be beauty queens or kings; but their beauty is on the inside and their service is like royalty, especially being in the era of COVID".

Bokata Inter. is Located in Sambil on Veeris 27 Unit L36, catty-corner to what use to be "Racing Gourmet" (which is now closed).
ETYMOLOGY OF BOKATA
The shortened form of Bocadillo and the suffix -ata.
"-ata" is an intensifier and used to form collective nouns. The suffix is also used to form words, derived from nouns, corresponding to -ful (as much as something will hold).
BOKATA IN CURACAO
Bokata in Curacao, is the Papiamentu translation of the Spanish word bocadillo or bocata.
BOCATA IN SPAIN
In Spain, bocata is a sandwich made with Spanish bread, usually a baguette or similar type of bread, cut lengthwise. Traditionally seen as a humble food, its low cost has allowed it to evolve over time into an iconic piece of cuisine.

HISTORY OF BOKATA IN CURACAO
In Curacao (an Afro-Dutch-Caribbean country, that was originally settled by the Arawaks; which were all just about captured and shipped to Spain, Cuba and Dominica Republic-Haiti (Hispaniola), and since that the Dominican Republics have returned back to their original home land and native soil of Curacao, they have also brought with them some of their culture and traditions back to their native home land of Curacao, such as the Bocata. In Curacao, the Bocata is called "Bokata" and are normally sold at Kwartetos and Snacks, usually by The Latino-Dutch communities.
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOKATA AND SANDWICH
A Bokata tends to refer to a sandwich made with a baguette and any of bread, while Sándwich only refers to a sandwich made with sandwich bread.
