Willemstad, Curacao. On September 8th, forty-three (43) persons; assumed to be Venezuelans; along with 2 monkeys were intercepted and captured at sea by the Coast Guards, as the undocumented aliens were trying to enter Curacao territory.

COAST GUARD INTERCEPTS HUMAN TRAFFICKING FROM VENEZUELA
On the night of September 8th, the Coast Guard radar system in the Caribbean Area detected a suspicious contact that was heading towards Curaçao. The contact was a suspicious vessel moving from the territorial waters of Venezuela towards the Curacao coast.

The Coast Guard Rescue and Coordination Center dispatched a Metal Shark; with a team of Coast Guards and Curaçaose militia on board to the location of the vessel.

The dispatched team discovered the suspected "contact", to be a 'lancha' with 45 undocumented mammalian entities; presumed to be from Venezuela. The entities included:
  • 9 Females.
  • 36 Males.
    • Thirty-four (34) Human Primates (HP).
    • Two (2) Non-Human Primates (NHP) (Monkeys).

The forty-three (43) humans were given over to The Curacao Police Authorities, whereas Veterinary services took the monkeys. The GMN; Curacao Health Services, was also on site to test the humans for COVID-19, however there was NO analytical testing reported to have been conducted on the two (2) monkeys.

EDITORIAL SYNOPSIS - "SAVING THE ECONOMY IN POST-COVID-19 ERA"
This situation of lately with the trafficking of monkeys should be an obvious alert to The Curacao Public Healthcare sector of infectious and contagious disease control, as about 4 years ago the country was dealing with the Zika epidemic. Recently, the country was commanded into a national lock down due to COVID-19 and the inability to effectively managed and efficiently lead, steer or direct the country out of harms way for the best of the people of Curacao.

It does not appear that Curacao is in a state to deal with yet another disease outbreak; especially after recent discoveries have exposed that for about 70 years the country has been virulently exposed to a long term debilitating mixed RNA-DNA genome incapable of genetic repair to restore its integrity.

The disease is common called CID, which is the abbreviation for CORRUPTION INFECTIOUS DISEASE, and as long as that runs rampant and uncheck the core protocol to identify the true source of caring for the general public will remain in despair. This is more evident when we stop and take a look at how much money and financing went into building the Hospital NOBO under the command of Ministers of Health Ben Whiteman and his successor, then Zita Jesus Leito, followed by Suzy Camelia-Romer and again by Zita Jesus Leito. These actions since 2013 were directed under the governance of the political party Pueblo Soberano (PS); 2 times; PAR 2 times and new political party PIN, leader by an old time politician that broke away from political party PNP to form her own direct influence; as Suzy Camelia Romer. These three (3) political parties consumed more than 620 Million guilders in the construction of  Hospital NOBO.

This issue is very important because from a public healthcare perspective when the incidence of Yellow Fever outbreak in Brazil in 2008 left more than 2,500 dead and a decade later reported the same agent cause over 700 deaths of monkeys in Brazil.

The matter is now; as it was before then; did so much debt had to be created for such an investment in this instrument of healthcare?

Now, let us tone back to a 2019 scientific publish research, "The Infectious Disease Risk Across the Growing Human-Non Human Primate Interface: A Review of the Evidence", we observed that the Close interactions between humans (HP) and non-human primates (NHPs) can create opportunities for the transmission of zoonotic diseases. Although pathogen transmission is supposed to be a rare outcome, Rabies virus, Herpes B virus, Monkeypox virus, Ebola virus, or Yellow fever virus infections are of greater concern and require quick countermeasures from public health professionals.

THE COAST GUARDS LOOK FORWARD TO A SYNERGISM BETWEEN THE PEOPLE AND DEFENSE TO PROTECT THE ABC ISLANDS
The Coast Guard receives assistance in Defense from The "Zr. MS. Groningen" on sea and with soldiers guarding on land.

The Coast Guard is responsible for patrolling and guarding the maritime boundaries of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao and request the help of all citizens who perceive suspicious situations at sea and coastline to call them by dialing 913.
