Hurricane Laura Hits Texas Ted Cruz and Gregg Abbott thank President Trump.




Texas, USA. Storm rips across The Lone Star State of Texas and point of disasters named for over 60 counties in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura, according to Texas Governor Abbott, whom expressed his great thanks to President Trump and his administration for their swift response and effectiveness.




HURRICANE LAURA HIT TEXAS
Hurricane Laura left behind; 800,000 without electricity, entering as a Category 4 Hurricane with 150 mph winds and leaving behind at least 16 dead and damages to many buildings and businesses.




Governor Abbott from the 1980's has been wheel chair ridden and paralyzed from the waist down. Gregg Abbott has been the governor since 2015. 

Governor Gregg Abbott stated; "never before has there been a president and administration that has responded so swiftly". Apparently; Governor Abbott was making a comparative reference to the previous administration of President Obama.



STATE OF DISASTER  
The twenty-three (23) counties in Texas under the disaster declaration; as from the 22nd of August included: Aransas, Bexar, Brazoria, Calhoun, Cameron, Chambers, Galveston, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Kenedy, Kleberg, Liberty, Matagorda, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria and Willacy.


SENATOR TED CRUZ THANKS PRESIDENT TRUMP
Texas Senator and former Republican US Presidential candidate in 2016, Ted Cruz stated; that Texas received strong bipartisan support of $3.8 Billion USD. approved of which Governor Abbott requested President Trump for $10 Billion USD to help the state be better prepared and better managed whiles fighting disasters and crises along with helping in energy infrastructure.

Representatives stated that a degree of interaction minimizes the damages, Furthermore that COVID-19 cases which were at 10K plus are quickly dropping. In addition to Texans going over to Louisiana to volunteer. 


PROTOCOL IN DISASTER AND CRISES
When a governor declares a state of emergency he or she is actually calling for resources to be put into motion and regulations to be set aside so help can more easily get to those who need it. 

The issuance of a local or state Disaster Declaration allows public officials to exercise emergency powers to preserve life, property, and public health following a disaster as indicated in the Texas Government Code Ch. 418. 


THE LONE STAR'S REPRESENTATIVES ACCESS DAMAGES AND TRUMP'S ADMINISTRATION'S RESPONSE
Many Texan high ranking elected officials and representatives along with Texas law enforcement meet in Orange; Texas, yesterday, and all expressed high accolades for President Trump's reaction to disaster response, which stretches as far back as Hurricane Carla in 1961. 


GOVERNOR ABBOTT CLOSING REMARKS ON TEXANS AND LABEL TRUMP AS A BUILDER PRESIDENT...
In the Presidential remarks, Governor Abbott, stated; "One thing Texans has shown, whether it be Harvey; whether it be all these other storms you have heard. They have been thru it and it shows the resilience and perseverance that Texans have. But we are made even stronger; by the swift and profound and effective support that we get from our leaders in Washington D.C. You are the builder President, You are helping to build that Costal spine that will help protect Texas, but you are right now helping Texas rebuild in the aftermath of the Hurricane, and I would just like to say Thank you; Mr. President".
