CURACAO'S HEALTHCARE CRISIS PROBLEM THE WORST IT HAS EVER BEEN

CURACAO'S HEALTHCARE CRISIS! A PROBLEM, THE WORST IT HAS EVER BEEN!

Willemstad, Curacao. In a press conference, Curacao Minister of Health, Environment and Nature; Suzanne (Suzy) Camelia-Römer commented that populist decisions in the past have now resulted in an expensive hospital (Hospital Nobo Otrobanda (HNO)) also called the Curacao Medical Center (CMC).

PART I
A BRIEF HEALTHCARE STATUS OF CURACAO. HOW DID WE GET HERE?

SUZY ROMER DOING A MILLI VANILLI -
I AIN'T THE REASON WHY THE BUDGET INCREASE ON THE HOSPITAL... BLAME IT ON THE RAIN....
Apparently, the original plans for the construction Curacao's new hospital and its budget was less than four hundred million guilders (NAf. 400,000,000). However, a number of politicians, parliamentarians have commented that those in charge have deviated from those plans, among other things by placing the new hospital in Otrobanda instead of the old Amstel site. Presently the new hospital now cost more than six hundred million guilders (NAf. 600,000,000).

GERRIT SCHOTTE QUALIFICATIONS PART-01...
Gerrit Schotte who apparently only has an academic achievement of less than a high school graduate, yet he has risen to become a member of parliament and the co-founder of his own political movement, MFK, and ever since he has successfully received support of the people of Curacao to return to represent the people in the "Honorable" Staten van Curacao 8 consecutive times since Curacao's autonomy.

GERRIT SCHOTTE HONORED WITH AN HONORARY DOCTORATE DEGREE...
Gerrit Schotte was the first prime minister of the autonomous Curacao in 2010 and was later honored with an Honorary doctorate degree from "De Stefano's University" in Piscadera Bay at the World Trade Center Curacao; Curacao International University (CIU). The italian born; 75 year old; Vittorio De Stefano is the apparent owner and is the managing director of The World Trade Center Curacao N.V. which was valued at over seventeen million US Dollars ($17,000,000 USD.) back in 1986 at the start of business, in addition to 2 Venezuelan born supervising directors; Luis Enrique Beltran Marimon and Nestor Antonio Herrera Martinez.

The World Trade Center is the same location registered for The Caribbean Medical University (CMU) and managing director; Mr. Radoslaw  "Radek" Lewkowski and now; recently the new location for John F. Kennedy University school of medicine (JFK-SOM) and managing director; Dr. Farhat "Farrah" Syed Tehseen.

WHO IS MAKING MONEY FROM THE DELAY ON THE HOSPITAL NOBO?
In addition; Gerrit Schotte has possibly precipitated the fall of unsuccessful cabinets as well as illustrated the malfunction, blatant  disrespect of old time parliamentarians of the Staten van Curacao to the Constitution of Curacao and then how they tried to cover it up and get away with it. Normally, Parliamentarians swear an allegiance to the King and not to protect and defend the Constitution of Curacao, which is equal to protecting the rights of the people of curacao. So there the people of Curacao; understand very clearly where any Government Minister loyalty lies, and where the loyalty of any MP lays, because had that been the case; many of those MP's would undeniably be complicit in a crime of breaking the supreme law of the land, the instrumentation of the people and by the people, its Constitution; the Constitution of Curacao!
Therefore, under that accord, Suzy Romer and a whole lot more MP's of the time that  saw the emergence of Eugene Rhuggenaath as minister of economy could have well been locked away in a jail cells figuratively next door to Gerrit Schotte's, and therefore that could have avoided a healthcare crisis that will shock the underbelly of national prosperity and national growth rates via Curacao's Healthcare system.

WAS GERRIT SCHOTTE SMARTER THAN ALL OF THE PRESENT DAY MP'S IN THE SVC, WHEN THE CONVERSATION IS ABOUT CURACAO'S NEW HOSPITAL?
Therefore; given all the metrics of good or bad about Gerrit Schotte, he was apparently smarter initially than all those late comers to the Staten van Curacao because he initially saw the common sense intelligence of where the hospital should be located with a lower price tag and earlier completion date.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF HEALTHCARE AND THE HOSPITAL NOBO IN CURACAO
The question should be where did all that money go? Additionally; why has the hospital not been completed yet?
Who is responsible for the process and who has been hindering the process of completion?

WHAT IS THE REAL PRIMARY REASON FOR  BUILDING THE HOSPITAL NOBO? IS IT REALLY FOR THE PEOPLE OF CURACAO, OR IS IT ABOUT FREE CASH IN CERTAIN PEOPLES BANK ACCOUNTS AND POCKETS?
The Curacao population was promised that the HNO would have had its doors opened two years ago in 2017, with a budget at 436 million guilders. However; that promised date was not materialized, and then the people of Curacao was promised the same by the government in 2018 and earlier in 2019.
It is expected that the hospital construction would be completed by late 2019, according to HNO communication.

The government of Curacao prime ministered by Eugene Rhuggenaath (PAR), has claimed that it is out of their concern for healthcare of the people in Curacao, that is why  they are constructing this exorbitantly over-expensive building (which at an approximate cost of over three hundred and fifty million US Dollars (+ $350,000,000 USD). However; yet so many other contributing factors to the people's health and their healthcare exist and persist unattended. But a high tech construction is just one aspect, then there must be the high tech machinery and computerization, and the utilities to provide these equipments and machinery and finally there must be well qualified medical professionals and well trained healthcare service providers.

It sounds as though the Hospital Nobo project, was and is actually; "putting the Carriage  before the Horse" or that the hospital is being built for the medical school businesses on Curacao and the future economy it may draw in, much like the Prime Minister Mia Motley from Barbados; where she accounts the medical schools as a noted contribution to their GDP.

Prime minister Eugene Rhuggenaath is a person that studied business at the University of Miami (UM) in Coral Gables; Florida in The USA and Suzy Camelia-Romer (PIN), who is now the Minister of Health in the PAR-MAN-PIN coalition government, is an attorney who was the prime minister of the defunct Netherland Antilles on 2 sporadic moments.

According to Mr. Amparo dos Santos; the leader of KdNT and MP in the SVC-08, he alleged; with documented proof, that Suzy Camelia-Romer has been collecting her pension and a government salary simultaneously, and that she is seriously connected with Franklin Sluis, director for The bureau of Telecommunications Post and Utilities (BTPU); receiving an exorbitant salary equivalent to more than 23 minimum wage salary workers per year,  and over 2 years a salary equivalent to about 1.5 million guilders, and all of this while the country is in an economic recession and approaching an economic depression and now under financial instrumentation by the Netherland's Kingdom Council; indicative of poor financial management and financial mismanagement.
Additionally; between 2004, 2005 and later in 2006; Eugene Rhuggenaath was the Deputy of Finance in the Curacao Government and from  June 2007 to august 2009; he was Deputy in Economic Development and Tourism. Therefore; according to some political pundits, this all points to the sign that the primary investment in the hospital may not be because of the primary concern for the health and healthcare of the people of Curacao but for the financial benefits it may represent to some of the richest persons in Curacao which sources claim are truly some of the elected representative MP's in the legislative branch and Government ministers in the executive branch.

SUZY CAMELIA-ROMER AND HER HISTORY OF BORROWING MONEY FOR PROJECTS... IS IT TOO STRANGE?
Minister Camelia-Römer, informed that the government wants to borrow the additional 200 million guilders needed for the HNO, on the local market!

THE DECEPTIVE ALLURE OF BORROWING MONEY AT LOW INTEREST RATES...
The Netherlands did provide financing for the HNO at a lower interest rate compared to local companies/agency. Apparently the current interest rate on Curacao is around five percent (5%), whiles the interest rates in the Netherlands are around two percent (2%).

SUZY CAMELIA ROMER TRYING TO JUSTIFY HOW AND WHY BORROWING AN ADDITIONAL TWO HUNDRED MILLION GUILDERS FOR THE THE HNO
Minister Camelia-Römer apparently said that the government has never made a formal request to the Netherlands to be able to borrow money to finance an additional 200 million guilders for the new hospital in Otrobanda (HNO).

However; it appears that the government kept the Netherlands out of the two hundred million guilders (NAf. 200, 000,000) loan because they wanted to borrow it from a local consortium.
Minister Camelia-Römer, said that there were indications from the Central Bank’s board member; Ersilia de Lannoy, that the Netherlands did not want to grant a loan and therefore no formal request was made.

The Curacao Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), advice that the Hospital Nobo Otrobanda (HNO) is classified as a collective sector.

There was a discussion between the minister of Finance and Economy; Kenneth Gijsbertha, Minister of Health; Suzanne (Suzy) Camelia-Römer, and various advisers to reconsider the possibility of a loan with the Netherlands government.

According to; The Financial Supervision Board (CFT); there is still room for borrowing, but Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath's coalition government is not allowed to borrow as long as Curacao does not meet the standards in the Financial Supervision Act.
At the same time, Curacao did received a budgetary instruction from the Netherlands, which PM Eugene Rhuggenaath signed, however; it appears that the Rhuggenaath's government still has hope that The Netherlands (the Hague) will allow the loan for the additional NAf. 200,000,000 .

PART II - RNA
THE HEALTH STATUS OF  CURACAO

REPORTING EPIDEMIC LEVELS

SUZY ROMER TRYING TO STIFLE FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.

According to the Minister of Health; Suzanne (Suzy) Camelia-Römer, she has been put in a bad light by the online news site Knipselkrant because of the new hospital and the 200 million loan and for that reason she made an official report against the news site (August 9th 2019), however, the basis for the report is, persistent defamatory accusations but, the exact content of the declaration is unknown.

PARLIAMENT OPPOSITION TAKES ACTION AS OVERSIGHT
Parliament's opposition political party; Korsou di Nos Tur (KdNT) has reported 8 people involved in the HNO project:

  • Five (5) ministers from the Rhuggenaath's cabinet,
  • Two (2) HNO directors,
  • One (1) Bank Vida Nova director.

The report is said to be about criminal offenses concerning the 200 million loan, and that people involved were aware of the lack of the correct legislation, but nevertheless continued with the loan.

PATIENTS CARE SUFFERING AND AT CRISIS STATUS...
Currently, the Sint Elisabeth Hospital (SEHOS) board decided to hold surgeries procedure for non acute/emergency patients because of economical and medical supplies stress and insufficiency.

According to the Chairman of the Association of Medical Specialists; Alexander Saleh, there isn't enough infusions in the hospital. Mr. Saleh pointed out that the hospital money problems continue. It appears that suppliers have not been paid "on time" in the past, the delivery of some medicines has stopped and there are currently not enough infusions ready. There are patients who have to wait a week or more for treatment.

SUPPLIERS COMPLAINTS OF BEING PAID OR NOT BEING PAID ON TIME
It appears that due to SEHOS payment delays, increasing number of suppliers are refusing to accept orders from the hospital.

APPARENT LACK OF MEDICATIONS
There is also a structural lack of medications. This means that care for oncology patients or HIV patients cannot take place. According to The SEHOS Medical staff, all their petitions to the government to discuss this dire situation has gone unanswered! This is the reason why they have now asked through the media for the government to find a solution.

On August 8th 2019, the Public Health Inspector; Prof. Dr. Sirving Keli, intervened by giving a binding instruction to ensure that SEHOS will again have sufficient medicines and treatment materials in the short term.

LACK OF LEADERSHIP OR FEAR OF REPRISAL?
Earlier, the hospital was placed under stricter supervision by the inspector. He instructed SEHOS management to cooperate with the agreement made last year that the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) would pay suppliers of essential medicines directly. Not much came of that agreement because apparently SEHOS did not provide SVB with the necessary information.

SEHOS Financial director; Elvis Thodé, said; "We know what and how much has to be ordered, in numbers and in amounts. With the help of the SVB it is possible to settle the overdue payments to suppliers. Then purchasing can get going again."

Some of the materials and medicines must come from abroad which will take time to treat some patients.

Since the end of August of 2016, Elvis Thodé has been the person in charge of SEHOS finances.

From 1985 to 1990 Thodé was Auditor at KPMG and
From January 2005 to December 2015: He was Manager Operational Services of RBC Curacao and Bonaire.

According to reports, Elvis Thodé has family connection with Amerigo Thodé, MFK MP in SVC-08 as part of the official opposition.

PART III-A: DNA
THE HEALTH STATUS OF  CURACAO

PRISONERS OF HEALTHCARE CRISIS- "THE SUGAR BEE BUMBLE-UP"

Opposition member from Curacao Parliament; Juniel Carolina (political party MFK) said, "the supermarket in charge of the delivery of these products wants to get rid of them because they don’t sell well and places them on the list of items for prisoners. That is why this list is now full of products that contained "sugary products"".

MFK MP continued; "Even though the prisoners did protest about the products; they can purchase the products through the prison cafeteria". However; from latest reports; it appeared that nothing has changed basically because the prison's Justice Department, has a monopolistic cooperation agreement with one (1) local supermarket for the delivery of products.

Carolina also indicated that the detainees noticed that the supermarket wants to get rid of certain products that are probably not being sold well by placing them on the prisoners cafeteria’s list.

The community wants answers from the Minister of Justice; Quincy Girigorie, on:
(A.) How, when and why, that one supermarket was chosen to supply and deliver products to prison?
(B.) Why nothing has been done regarding the prisoners complaint?

CURACAO'S LIFE EXPECTANCY
During a radio interview in 2013, the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) Director; Mr. Philip Martis, admitted that the Curacao Basic Health Insurance is a huge mess, that it has to be fixed in many ways for it to become a “responsible law”.

During the 2011 - 2014 period, the life expectancy of the resident of Curacao was:
  • 74.8 years for men, and
  • 81.0 years for women.

FACTORS AFFECTING LIFE EXPECTANCY IN CURACAO
The factors that hinders life expectancy in Curacao are:

  • High Crime Rate; (HCRM Rate);
  • High Unemployment Rate; (HUE Rate);
  • Unavailability of Medication;
  • Inability to properly medicate because of the high cost;
  • High Stress Level;
  • Pollutions of The Oil refinery;
  • Drug Addiction;
  • Food poisoning;
  • Outdated/expired food products;
  • Bad and inappropriate food safety, food storage and food management;
  • Disease;
  • Infectious diseases;
  • Deficiency diseases: hereditary diseases (including both genetic diseases and non-genetic hereditary diseases), and physiological diseases.

CURACAO'S HISTORICAL TREND IN SEX DISTRIBUTION RAPIDLY CHANGING

As of 1st of January 2016, Curacao had 158,986 inhabitants, with a Male:Female ratio of 84 to 100, which was ranked as amongst one of the lowest in the world.

Since 1960, the Male:Female ratio was reported at 98:100, and the male proportion has steadily declined of the years, mainly as a result of:

  • (A) The input index of female dominated immigration into Curacao; that is particularly notable in working age groups 30 - 60 years old; coupled with
  • (B) The output index of male dominated immigration out from Curacao.

POLLUTION IN CURACAO

According to Curacao Oil Refinery history; the systematic oil exploration of the Venezuelan territory started in 1910 when Caribbean Petroleum, a subsidiary of the Anglo-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell group, discovered rich hydrocarbon formations in the basin of Lake Maracaibo (Venezuela), 400 kilometers from the Island of Curacao.

The production of the wells on Lake Maracaibo permitted the export of oil, but the lake’s shallow waters, and the lack of sheltered deep water ports on Venezuela’s west part coast presented difficulties for larger vessels.

The natural seaports and political stability of Curacao as part of the Dutch Kingdom were important considerations in Shell’s decision to construct a refinery in Curacao.

Shell Oil Company is the United States-based wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell, transnational corporation "oil major" of Anglo-Dutch origins, which is currently amongst the largest oil companies in the world.

In May 1915 Shell took the first step towards construction and acquired the plantation known as “Asiento” and the peninsula belonging to it. Since that time the refinery has been known as “Isla”, the name subsequently adopted by Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. for its Curacao subsidiary. Since World War I was in full swing on the European continent the construction of the refinery progressed slowly. It was not until 1918 that the first oil from Lake Maracaibo was processed in Curacao.

Air quality is impaired by operations of the aging Isla oil refinery. Continuous measurement of four air pollutants that are considered most harmful for public health:

  • Sulfur Dioxide (SO2),
  • Total Suspended Particles,
  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), and
  • PM10

This began in January 2010 under the auspices of Curacao’s Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature and in collaboration with the Dutch Community Health Services (GGD) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Since 2010, the sulfur dioxide normal average level per year  was eighty micrograms per cubic meters (80 µg/m^3) and in 2013 it increased by 90% and had a growth rate the following year in 2014 by 10.59%.
In 2014, inhabitants of neighborhoods downwind of Curacao Schottegat harbor complained about the appearance of a green substance on their houses, which was found to have originated from industrial sources and contained levels of harmful vanadium (V), nickel (Ni), and sulphur (S).

The public in Curacao is in a dilemma, debate and conflict with the government, about the environmental risk and issues of the Curacao Oil refinery on their health.

People downwind of Isla refinery and the major thoroughfare circling the refinery and the bay, Schottegatweg Ring, are reported to experience higher than average frequencies of headaches, nausea, chronic lung ailments, asthma and cancer.

NUMBERS THAT CAN KILL A NATION

The Curacao population health status seems alarming.
In 2011 more than a quarter (27.4 %) of the population suffered from a chronic illness and/or affliction.
(i) High Blood Pressure (14.1 %) and Diabetes (6 %) were the most common illnesses, (ii) followed by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) asthma (4.6 %) and heart complications (3.5 %).

From certain statistics it appears that, Curacao appears to be leading the world's top 10 countries in health crisis.

From JJosephaNews research and data analysis on Curacao's  population:

  • A) Roughly about 33% has Diabetes.
  • B0) 3% is infected with HIV (equivalent to 4,860 people) and know that they are infected, and
    • B1) Roughly an additional 21% are living with the disease or are carriers, and possibly don't know that they are infected, or have not been tested for the virus that causes AIDS.
    • B2) Gays, bisexuals, and other men who have sex with men, bear the greatest burden by risk group, representing an estimated 83% Incidence rate of annual HIV infections. C) More than 30% has Kidney Disease.
  • D) 19.2% has Alzheimer or Dementia.
  • E) 31.2% are Overweight or Obese.
  • F) 11.7% has a Pulmonary Disease.
  • G) 10.9% has Heart problems.
  • H) 4.1% has Cancer.

CANCER IN CURACAO BASIC BRIEFING.
In late 19th century in The Netherlands Antilles [Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao (ABC) and Sint Maarten, Saba, and Sint Eustatius (SSS)], there was a mere 0.54% differential between the total number of cases of cancer diagnosed in males compared to those in females. However; according to data and statistics for 2018 the differential percentile gap (dpg) is shifting towards females with a greater differential.

One hundred and sixty-one (161) Cervical cancer cases were diagnosed between 2003 and 2013 in Curacao, yielding an incidence of: 23.3 per 100,000 women.

Throughout the Caribbean in 2016:

  • 1) Prostate cancer was a common cause of death among Caribbean men, which accounted for 18% - 47% of cancer deaths.
  • 2) Lung cancer accounted for 5% - 24% and was the second highest cause of cancer deaths among males.
  • 3) Breast cancer, the main cause of cancer death among females accounted for 14% - 30% of cancer deaths; and are doubled that compared to the USA.

HIV IN CURACAO
At the beginning of 2018, Curacao had 2,022 registered HIV patients, of which approximately 900 to 1,000 were treated and receive medication. Of the Caribbean islands, Curacao currently has the highest annual growth rate for HIV infection, whiles for example the islands of Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Sint Maarten, which used to have the highest growth rates, figure are now falling.

CURACAO'S MEDICAL UNIVERSITIES MUST PLAY A BIGGER ROLE IN HEALTHCARE IN CURACAO AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION
In a 2017 questionnaire, 9 out of every 10 person asked in Curacao, did not realized that Curacao had a medical universities on the island and therefore thought that the country could not locally produced nor locally trained Curasaleno medical doctors for the Curasaleno Society.

There are 4 medical Universities recognized by the Curacao Government, of which none of the universities has an educational agreement with the government, but instead they all have an economic agreement with the Government, as far back as from their business registration with the Curacao Chamber of Commerce illustrates.

PART III-B: EPIGENETICS
MEDICAL SCHOOL ANALYSIS IN CURACAO

JJosephaNews attempted to contact all four medical universities to discuss the findings and complaints made by former and previous students and graduates over their time period to give the medical schools the opportunity to clarify or explain some of the issues. In addition the Office of the Prime Minister, The Minister of Health and Minister of Education were contacted and failed to respond to any questions or appointments.
The following is a composite of JJosephaNews research and analysis, FUDOCU and "The Ask Nina" Advice column; which first premiered in Caribbean News about the state of Medical Schools in Curacao.

(The purchase, sale and consumption of Marijuana is illegal in Curacao). Since then Avalon University campus has translocated from Punda area to Santa Rosa rural area, however; it does not seem to have change the habit of Weed smell and dazed eye look of some of the Avalon Medical Students who come from the USA where medicinal Herb is legal.
    [THOUGHT PROVOKING IDEA: Avalon University of School of Medicine, does not have a random drug testing protocol nor; the Ministry of Health, Education, Justice neither The Government of Curacao has for University institution. Maybe this should be implemented in order to source the beginning of the problem and therefore attack crime in Curacao or consider decriminalization or legalization for medicinal purposes]
    (iii) Allegations of Sexual impropriety: A few students have alleged sexual relations with a particular Avalon Medical University professor however, for fear of being ostracized, not believed and intentionally victimized academically, have refused to discussed the matter further for fear of their life and need to become a medical doctor and not bring shame on their family.

    (v) No Death reported or associated directly or indirectly with attending this medical school; AU-SOM.

  B. OWNED BY EUROPEAN - CEO/President

(B1.) Caribbean Medical University (CMU)
  • CEO/President: Mr. Radoslaw aka "Radek" Lewkowski (Polish)
  • 3 Terms per year (Trimester)
  • Estimated Annual Tuition Basic Science: $17,700 USD
  • Established in: 2007 (12 years in operation)
  • Recognized: The Government of Curacao**
  • Matriculation of Curasalenos: Very Small percentage
  • Offer of 50% PPP tuition to Curasalenos: Is claimed on their website but is not practiced. Many Curasaleno students called it a farce and allegedly a scam to pretend that they were compliant
  • Previous Problems: (i)With Students [YES: Abundant complaints about Discrimination and unfair treatment and extortion by administration staff; Bullying, Blackmailing,  threatening and intimidation, harassment by/from; the managing Director; Dr. Ryan Cameron Jackson.
    (ii) Allegedly the school was thought to be closing and therefore collaborated with JFK-SOM to assist with certification and accreditation, however the staff and location of both schools are at the same location in Piscadera Bay.
    (iii) There have been a number of students that matriculated in CMU and have died or have been physically harm at the school or on the school campus which included the death of an Asian-American in 2012 and the serious stabbing (attempted murder) of Dr. Farhat aka "Farrah" Syed Tehseen; by an Egyptian CMU medical student who claimed mental insanity. Dr. Syed whom was a professor of the student at the time at CMU and was employed by Mr. Radoslaw Lewkowski.
    (iv) There have been further reports of students apparently registered at the school who went missing and later were either found dead or were not found at all and assumed dead from strange occurrences near the beaches.
    (v) There are and have been claims from former students who claimed they were attacked and assaulted (physically and verbally) by complete strangers; who were apparently Curasalenos. This happened some time after having serious discussions with administrative staff of CMU and they left Curacao for fear of losing their lives and were unable to receive their moneys returned to them. Some claimed it was the political influence of the local curasaleno administrative staff, who acted like organized crime syndicated gangs, who would whack off anyone for talking against the school or leaving school for another medical school on the island. None of the former students claimed that they were able to get their money back and they were fearful of going to the police because allegedly the administrative staff had connections on the police force which ended in their documentations taking longer than usual to be processed and then they were forced to leave the country again never recuperating their reimbursement.
    (vi) Various former CMU students claimed having been haunted and seeing supernatural aberrations; ghost; in the dormitory of CMU, which have caused them to leave the island and the school.
    (vii) Numerous former students have claimed having their properties been stolen from them. including small items, clothing, TV's and electronics and money. Again they all alleged the administrative staff, because they all left to go to classes and returned and their properties were stolen or money stolen. All of these things happened after they had disagreements with the CMU administrative staff and informed that they were leaving the school or reporting the school to authorities in the USA.
    (viii) Some former CMU students that lived at the dormitory complained of black mold in their dormitory rooms and were said to be labelled as troublemakers when the school failed to address the problem. The students left the school after living with the problem for almost 2 terms with no improvements and the health noticeably worse along with their grades.

C. OWNED BY CURASALENOS - CEO/President
 [ None - Not Applicable (N/A) ]

PAR-MAN-PIN GOVERNMENT COALITION DOES NOTHING TO HELP FUTURE MEDICAL DOCTORS
Many oppositions claimed that the medical universities rarely matriculate any Curasaleno students and that the Minister of Health, Suzy Camelia-Romer (Political Party PIN), nor Prime Minister; Eugene Rhuggenaath (Political Party PAR) are apparently NOT standing up for the future of Curasaleno medical doctor "want-to-be-professionals", unless the applicant belongs to the same political party as PAR, PIN or MAN, or have family relations of those or friends of friends.

SPLIT COMPARISON: IS CHEAPER BETTER FOR MEDICAL SCHOOLS REGISTERED AND RECOGNIZED IN CURACAO?
From reports; St. Martinus University (SMU) faculty of medicine, rarely admitted any curasalenos in their medical university and they like the other two medical schools; Avalon and JFK-SOM; are "Independent", "for-profit" and Indian owned and headquartered in The USA. Therefore, it appears from reports that the medical school has zero interest in matriculating Curasalenos, as some Curasalenos who applied; commented that the school exhibits behavior for their acceptance as "racist" and "classist"in their selection.

PART IV
CURACAO CORNER
"WE NEED TO LOCALLY PRODUCE AND TRAIN MORE CURASALENO DOCTORS..."
One parent from the west region, commented; "think about it Eugene Rhuggenaath and these medical school presidents and owners belong to the same membership of the east-indian business family and or "indian" religion.  so they don't want little black curasaleno children in their foreign white so -called "ivy league" schools, and the embarrassing part is that "Mr. Sell-out", Eugene Rhuggenaath; does nothing about it and what does Netherland do to crush out that discrimination?"

The single parent of 2 continued; "Ask yourself how many Curasalenos are enrolled in their medical schools or received scholarships to attend these expensive medical schools the answer is more than likely NONE! Imagine they on our own home soil and we treated like second-rated citizens and from what I heard some curasalenos who have tried and were discriminated against and the fact that these Indians didn't even tried to hide their "classism" or discrimination, means that they know they won't get in any trouble because like in the Godfather movie "they are connected" and "The Curasaleno Fredo" has their back covered! Say what you must, but at least Gerrit Schotte administration I heard forced them (3 medical schools at the time: CMU, Avalon and SMU) to accept 1 or 2 Curasalenos".

Another Curasaleno resident continued; "The government building up that big hospital Nobo, but who going to work at it after they spent so much of our money and going to enslave us with the bill to pay for it? Back then was the time to start encouraging Curasaleno doctors and not just their friends or people children in their political parties but qualified youth who want to help our country eliminate the health crisis we in and will be in for the long run!"

PART V
INTERVIEWS SUPPORTING CURACAO'S HEALTH CRISIS

1. DIABETES
In a 2013 interview with The Hensley Koeiman's political party MAN's Chairman and spokesperson; Dr. Yves Schoop, he explained Curacao's obesity and diabetes problem.
Video transcript:
Reporter: How serious is the overweight situation in Curacao?
Dr. Schoop: It is very large. It is not only a Curacao problem, it is a worldwide problem; a global problem.
They don't even speak about an obesity problem anymore, it is about "globesity", because, it is a global diabetic problem.
It is like this, that in Curacao, we have an outdated study. In 1996, "Curacao Health Study" proved that more than 60%; approximately 63%; suffers from being overweight or obese.
Obesity is a disease, defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). That is the most extreme form of overweight, and it is this obesity that has our community in high expenditures in Healthcare, and the problem is big!
If you count that there is more than 60%, that means that there are people older than 18 years as well, and that is equivalent to more than 98,000 people in Curacao that are obese.

Reporter: How much does this cost our community on the Healthcare expenses?
Dr. Schoop: A lot! A whole lot! Because, overweight is related to a lot of illnesses that comes close, like Diabetes type 2 and High Blood Pressure.
Diabetes type 2; in our community is for sure at 10%. Hypertension for sure is at 40% to 50%; up to 60%, it comes with a high Cholesterol.
Also, we don't have exact number for the cholesterol, but it is also a high number.
It comes with Osteoarthritis, where the joint damages is due principally due to overweight. People need to do surgery on their hip, their knees, which are very expensive surgeries.
People who suffer from sleep problem, people who snore in their sleep or stop breathing when sleeping is because of overweight.
People who even fall asleep when driving and cause accident without us know that overweight is the cause.
In Europe they showed that in England, more than 60,000 of commercial chauffeurs are involved in accidents because they suffer from sleeping problems, because of overweight.

So, it is a problem that cost a lot.

2. HIV/AIDS
At the beginning of 2018, Curacao had 2022 registered HIV patients, of which approximately 900 to 1,000 were treated and receive medication. Of the Caribbean islands, Curacao currently has the highest annual growth rate for HIV patients, while for example the islands of Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Sint Maarten (which used to have the highest growth rates) figure are now falling.
In a 2018 interview, Dudley Ferdinandus from Cura+ HIV/AIDS Support Foundation spoke about HIV/AIDS in Curacao.
Video transcript:

Reporter: How is the HIV awareness process going? Because, I can see that, as an example, compared to June in 2014, there were 772 cases of people that had HIV, and now, it is more than 2,000 in the year of 2008, you can see that in reality, it grew a lot in Curacao.

Ferdinandus: Yes, let us say that since 1985 up until now, there has not been a reduction in the number of HIV cases. That means that the numbers continued to increase.
We have reached 2,022 cases, maybe we have reached 2,100 cases already, looking at the quantity of cases and also looking at the age, which is also playing a role.The ages is going down more and more, more youths, starting at the age of 14 and older is up right now.

Reporter: Exactly as you said, there are increasingly larger amounts of youths.

Ferdinandus: A lot of youths. We started the year with a first case of an 14 year old. In June 2019 it went up again, with about 9 to 8 infected youths, between the ages of 14 to 18 years old.

Reporter: So you can say that this was the only year that you can conclude that about 10 youths under the age of 18 were infected?

Ferdinandus: Yes, it was remarkable for us, because, in the period of vacation we never had youths coming to take a test, but we do not know if the reason is because we are visiting schools with more frequency, but for us, it was an alarm to announce that there is something going wrong. Let's take a look what is going on. I think that would also help, now that there is a little bit more development in the process of working on preventive plans that must come forward if we want to start working on reducing the numbers. Because, we are already speaking of an epidemic, it is an epidemic in Curacao, even though people do not see it so, but that is the reality, it is an epidemic in Curacao.

On the 13th of June 2015, Kidney Specialist; Dr. Nouaf Ajubi, said the following in a Dutch Paradise FM interview:
Transcription:
Reporter: How many kidney patients does Curacao have?
Dr. Ajubi: We currently have, the number of transported counts, we have about 280 patients in the most bad form, that is stage 5 Chronic Renal Insufficiency (CRI), and then 280 people are now on dialysis.

Reporter: Is that a lot?
Dr. Ajubi: That is a great deal, which is comparatively three times more than the Netherlands.

Reporter: And if you look and compare that to the world?
Dr. Ajubi: We have a status that ranks us in the top three in the world, from data that has been published per capita, so if you view per 100,000 residents.
