CITI representative giving e-commerce tips and delivering closing remarks

Willemstad; Curacao. Curacao Innovation and Technology Institute (CITI) hosted a mini seminar entitled "Starting eCommerce in Curacao", on Tuesday at the Curacao National Library in Willemstad.

There were approximately 55 persons in attendance at the CITI-hosted seminar that included six presenters on varying topics relating to eCommerce on Curacao.
After the opening address, there was a presentation on the introduction of an online booking portal. The Korpodeko Incentive Program, an e-commerce gateway from Curacao, followed by an example of an e-commerce service that has been in service since 2013.
The general manager for CPost, Franklin Sluis, explained the importance of e-commerce and said that "the company believes in a continuing growth in the future".
He told those in attendance, "You will be out of business unless your business is online."
In his presentation on the importance of e-commerce, Sluis played a video that demonstrated that every action has a consequence.

CITI’s representative closed the seminar giving tips as to why it is necessary to have a functional live business plan with a good customer navigational web design for your website.
One person in attendance commented that the seminar was well organized, that they enjoyed it and that it is important to have a functioning online business site.
Another attendee at the seminar commented, "I enjoyed it but they failed to give the website urls and to tell you the truth that one or two of the sites were not even online themselves, but they still presented it and gave demonstration… look it up for yourself!"
